SUDDEN DEATH.
HOROTIU SCHOOLMASTER. . INQUEST TO , BE HELD.- . Th,e d& a th occurred suddenly at his residence at Horotiu early this mcrning of Mr James Jack headmaster of the Horotiu School. Mr Jack retired in his usual state of health last evening and- passed away in his - sleep. Death is believed to have been due to heart failure. Born in Ireland 48 years ago, Mr Jack was educated at Trinity College, Dublin,- and went to Australia as a young man. After holding various teaching appointments in Australia, where he resided for about five years, deceased came to New Zealand about 15 years ago. Mr Jack, who was married, with no children, 'had not been many months at Horotiu. ‘
A coronial inquiry will be held at deceased’s home this evening.
