CHURCH BAZAAR.
AT NGARUAWAHIA. The annual sale of work and concert held in' aid of the Presbyterian Church funds was a very successful function. There was a very creditable display of articles for sale, which spoke very highly of the efforts and enthusiasm shown by the members of the committee. The bazaar met with the support of the public and practically everything was disposed of. The following were the stall-holders: — Fancy goods, Ladies’ Guild, Mesdames Veitch, Cox, Wilkinson, Clarke, Harrup; sweets and fancy goods, Junior Bible Class, with Mesdames Donald and Jacobs in charge; ice cream, drinks and salads, senior bible class; produce stall, Mrs A. Paterson and Miss Jones; tea rooms, Mesdames Johnston, Scott and Fleming; Christmas tree, Mrs Grant.
In the evening, in conjunction with the sale o'f work, a concert was rendered by members of the South Auckland Caledonian Society. The programme met with whole-hearted applause from an appreciative audience. The following were the individual items: —Selection, -South Auckland Caledonian Pipe Band; song and humour, The Twa Macs (Masters Mclnally Hamilton) ; Irish Jig; Miss Muriel McKenzie, Matangi; song, Mrs Heppleston (Hamilton); recitation, Miss Elsie Cameron (Matangi); sword dance, Miss Isobel Taylor (Hamilton); humorous song, Mr Hicks, (Matangi); seelction, pipe band; song, Twa Macs; sailors’ hornpipe, Miss Jessie Cameron (Matangi); song, Mrs Heppleston; recitation, Miss Elsie Cameron; humorous song, Mr Hicks; Sean Triubhais, Miss Elva Lebeau (Matangi); selections, pipe band. At the conclusion of the concert the Rev. Martin thanked gill present for their attendance and support and particularly extended his gratitude to the members of the concert party.
