HIGH SCHOOL BATHS.
TENDERS TO BE CALLED. MONEY IN HAND FOR WORK. The construction of a swimming bath at the Hamilton High School is to be proceeded with and tenders will be called forthwith. With the £B7 available as a result of the recent school opera the board has more - than sufficient money in hand to cover the cost of the work. It had been suggested that the board should put down a bore and endeavour to obtain a supply of artesian water, but after considering the possible difficulties attendant on such a scheme it was decided to draw on the town supply. The board expressed its appreciation of the effort made by those, responsible for the school opera, and congratulated them upon the excellence of the performance, which Dr. H. Douglas described as the finest school production he had ever seen.
