MILK BELOW STANDARD

DEFICIENCY OF BUTTERFAT. SUBSTANTIAL FINE INFLICTED. (Special to Times.) HUNTLY, Friday, ' Margaret Ingiis, of Huntly West pleaded guilty in the Huntly Magistrate’s Court this morning before Mr F.- H. Levien S.M., to selling milk containing a deficiency of butterfat. The sample taken by the inspec-' tor revealed 1-8 per cent, of butterfat, whereas Uig standard is 3.25 per cent". The inspector pointed out that the sample was taken through the top at the bottom of the can.

His Worship inflicted a fine of £5 with costs 245.
