RACING.
WAIKATO HUNT MEETING. VISITING CANDIDATES. CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. A considerable contingent of visiting candidates for the Waikato Hunt’s Labour Day fixture arrived to-day and the number will be swelled to-morrow. Mr 11. Alan Bell’s slables near the National Hotel are. always a popular rendezvous and he has made splendid arrangements for the isiting trainers this year. Senora and Acora arrved to-day from Wanganui in -charge of trainer Cotrell. All Soult, in charge of trainer Townsend, of Pukekohe, has also put in an appearance. Mashoor is due from Talcanini tomorrow, and will probably be schooled over the country on Saturday. Trainer Mantle arrives from New Plymouth to-morrow with Moerangi. Pikimai, from the same centre will go out to Mr Jim McFarlane’s stables at Fencourt. Trainer O’Connor arrives on Saturday with Brundee Boy, also Valstreet, in charge of G. Reed. Others due on Saturday are Valroe,, Valgene, of R. Mateer’s team, Matamata, and trainer Stone with Royal Ruler.
THE WAIKATO CLUB. SPRING MEETING NOMINATIONS. CLOSE AT 5 P.M. TO-DAY. Nominations for the Spring Meeting of the Waikato Racing Club, on November 15 and 17, will -close at 5 p:m. to-day with the secretary, Mr E. 11. O’Meara, at Hamilton, or with Messrs Blomfleld and Company, Auckland.
