King Fuad of Egypt has signed a new electoral law under which both Chambers of Parliament are automatically adjourned for an indefinite period. A new Constitution is to be promulgated by Royal decree to-day. The Prime Minister, Sidky Pasha, has had elaborate precautions taken against riots. Egyptian . troops paraded the principal streets of Cairo in force yesterday, but British troops remained in barracks and will only be called upon if the Egyptians cannot protect Europeans. The ex-Prime Minister, Nahas Pasha, has repeatedly called upon his followers to sacrifice their lives and possessions in defence of the present Constitution.
