A dumping duty of 40 cents (Is 3d) on eaoh 661 b box Imposed on 38,000 boxes of New Zealand butter, which arrived here on Ootober 11, In addition to the regular duty of one cent per lb, has since been raised to eight cents per lb when the Invoices revealed that the price was fourfifths of a cent per lb lower than the current market rate In New Zealand at the time of shipment. In future the Canadian Trade Commissioner In New Zealand will cable butter prices, dally, so that the duty may be assessed as on the day of shipment to avoid fluctuations during transit.
