BAKER—FAGAN. The wedding of Miss Hazel Evelyn Fagan, second daughter of Mr and Mrs S. S. Fagan, of Motumaoho, to Mr Allan William Baker, eldest son of Mr 'and Mrs W. H. .Baker, of Newstead, was celebrated at Knox Presbyterian Church, Morrinsville, on Thursday. The Rev. J. H. Starnes officiated. The church had been prettily decorated by members of the Motumaoho Bible Class with sprays of white heath forming arches over the aisle from pew to pew, and linked with white streamers.

The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a dress of ivory crepe satin and georgette, with long georgette sleeves, the skirt of two-tiered flares with uneven hemline drooping to the ankles at the back and finished with a wide sash and orange blossoms at the side. Her long embroidered tulle veil was held in place with sprays of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and narvissus. The bridesmaid, Miss Joyce Fagan, sister of the bride, wore a frock of green georgette with bodice trimmed with ruching and full scalloped skirt trimmed with little pink bows. Her hat of green felt was trimmed with pink, and she carried a bouquet of golden chrysanthemums, Iceland poppies and autumn leaves. The little flower girl, 'Miss Edna Stark wore a frock of pink georgette, the bodice of which was trimmed with tucks and the skirt with tiny frills, and net of pink felt trimmed with felt flowers to tone. Mr Harold Baker, brother of the bridegroom, was best.man.

- After the ceremony a reception was held, Mrs Fagan receiving her guests wearing a frock of brown wool crepe de chine and fox furs. She carried a posy of autumn tinted flowers. REID —CONNING. The marriage was solemnised at St. Mark’s Church, Te Aroha, on Wednesday, between Lillian Erissa, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. FI. Conning, of Waihou, and Percy Reid, third son of Mr and Mrs S. F. Reid, late of Waipuku, Taranaki, and now of Ghudleigh. The Rev. R. L. Connolly officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a gown of white crepe de chine with pointed flared lace embroidered with pearls. Her embroidered veil was worn in Juliet cap style, and she carried a bouquet of cream chrysanthemums and asparagus fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Violet Conning and Miss Eva Hubert, wore frocks of green and pink j crepe de chine with flounced skirts. They wore felt hats to tone and. car-

ried handsome bouquets. Mr E. Reid, brother to the bridegroom, acted as best man, being supported by Mr Cyril Teaz, of Ngarua, as groomsman.

DONOVAN —MAUI. The wedding was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, To Aroha, between Agnes May Maui, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Maui, of Walton, and Victor Leslie Donovan, third son of Mr and Airs Arthur Donovan, of Ngarua. Rev. Father Corby was the officiating priestThe bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white satin beaute with white silk georgette petals forming a turn-over hemline. Miss E. Donovan, the bridesmaid, wore a pretty frock of orange chiffon velvet, and her hat to tone was of silk'georgette. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Arnold Donovan.
