ANNUAL DANCE.
STAFF OF THE F.A.C. The annual staff dance of the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company was held at their offices in Victoria Street on Saturday evening. The landing, arranged as a ballroom, was decorated with balloons and streamers, festooned above the stairway and along the passages. Music was played by the Rio Dance Band. The energetic committee, to whom the success of the dance was due, was Miss M. Gwynne, who wore a frock of lotus rose taffeta; Miss I. Gillies, mimosa yellow taffeta; Miss H. Phillips, wisteria shaded crepe-de-chine; Miss V. Cotter, rose shot taffeta and Messrs E. Gratten, A. Schmitt, T. Simpson and R. Harrison. Quite a number of the staffs of the various branches had journeyed to Hamilton to attend the dance.
The hostess for the evening was Mrs H. Griffiths, who was wearing a gown of ruby red chiffon velvet. Among those present were: Mesdames W. Seavill, wearing black lace embroidered in gold; T. Pratt, canary satin beaute; G. Atkinson (Cambridge), leaf green georgette; E. Wilkes, primrose ring velvet; D. Wilkes, briar rose taffeta; E. Gilmour (Auckland),, hyacinth blue georgette and tulle; Crawshaw, moire velvet and fish net; E. Wilson, rose figured satin; Hamilton, ivory and primrose fisher net; E. FTothwell, cameo pink georgette; M. Wilson, leaf green taffeta and lace; G. Buckland, black taffeta; J. Gillies, flowered taffeta; P. Meehan (Auckland), phlox pink crepe-de-chine; Barker (Auckland), cherry red chiffon velvet; M. Perham, primrose georgette; E. Jackson, buttercup satin beaute; B. Thompson, turquoise taffeta; M. Johns, figured ninon; G. Jane, coral pink ninon; Rathery (Te Kuiti), K>se shot taffeta; C. Rathery (Te Kuiti), cherry red georgette; Patterson (Te Kuiti), primrose taffeta; S.
