J Sir Oswald Mosley Bart., Ghan-«l cellor of the Duchy of Lancaster is 33 years of age. He is the reldest son of the late Sir Oswald. Mosley, Bart., who died in September* 1928. There was considerable specu-* lation as to whether his eldest son* who was a politician of decidedly socialistic views would ■ take up the title, but he decided to- do so. Sir; Oswald was educated at Winchester and Sandhurst, and served in the war* and was formerly in the 15th Lancers. He married Lady Cynthia Curzon, daughter of the late Marquis Curzon. He represented the Harrow Division from 1918 till 1924. He joined the Labour Party in 1924 and two years later was elected for Smethwick and has since occupied the seat. At tha general election his wife, Lady Cynthia was elected Labour Member fo* Stokes.
