WORKERS’ EDUCATION.
DEPUTATION FROM ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON,' Saturday. The Hon. H. Atrnore, Minister of Education, gave a very sympathetic hearing to a deputation from the New Zealand conference of ihe Workers’ Educational Association asking for an increased grant, and that the limitation of Government subisdles on local body contributions for work of the Workers’ Education Association be lifted. The high standard of achievement and the growth of classes was emphasised as well as the call on the Association to carry its activities into rural districts. Mr Atrnore stated that he recognised the reasonableness of the requests and would do what he could for the Association.
