SOLICITOR ASSAULTED.

ASSAILANT BOUND OVER. WORRIED . OVER FINANCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. The alleged victimisation of himself and his wife was pleaded in extenuation by Vincent Henry Farmer, who conducted his own defence, when cherged in the Police Court with assaulting Augustus John West Walker, solicitor, when the latter was leaving church last Sunday morning. In giving judgment the Bench said defendant had been worried over his financial operations, and had got incensed with complainant and assaulted him. Defendant had been quite unjustified in the assault, and would be bound over in a sum of £25 to keep the peace for twelve months.
