THE WAIKATO SEAT
REFORM IN WAiPA. SELECTION OF CANDIDATE. Delegates from all parts of the Waikato electorate attended the meeting of the Waikato Reform Party executive at Morrinsville yesterday. Mr J. M. Allen presided, and extended a welcome to Mr D. Hebenton, the organiser, whom they were all pleased to see back in the electorate. Reports from various parts of the electorate showed that there was a keen desire by supporters to work hard so as to regain the seat for Reform. It was decided to proceed with the selection of a candidate as laid down by the constitution of the party. Nominations of candidates for selection will be received by Mr J. M. Alien, of Morrinsville, the chairman of the executive, up to April 30. THE FRANKLIN SEAT. INVITATION TO MR MELLSOP. WAIUKU, Friday. A gathering of about 90 supporters of the Country Party in the Franklin electorate was held at Waiuku. It was decided to invite Mr 11. O. Mellsop to again contest the Franklin seat at the next election as the Country Party candidate.
