The Right Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, will arrive in Auckland from Dargaville this morning, and will officially open Owairaka Park, Mount Albert, this afternoon. Mr R. B. Campbell, of Wellington, is at the Hamilton Hotel. Captain M. C. McGregor, of Hamilton, is in Auckland. Mr R. Porter, of Palmerston North, is in Hamilton. Mr W. P. Russell, of Wellington, the well-known racing handicapper and judge, is visiting Hamilton. Messrs Andcfson, Bear, Horscroft, Jordan and Kuhtz are Gazetted as the Tirau Domain Board. Mr M. Tronson, formerly manager of the Kosy theatre, Palmerston North, has taken over the management of Tauranga Theatres, Limited, which includes the Regent theatre and the Town hall. His predecessor, Air A. H. Carter, has been transferred to Levin.

Olds, of the Mount Eden (Auckland) Methodist Church, and formerly of Hamilton East, who is resigning his charge in order to take up the position of superintendent of the Auckland Methodist Central Mission. Mr T. H. Martyn presented Mr Olds with a cheque on behalf of the congregation.
