THE RAGWORT MENACE
EXPERIMENTS AT MAIVSAKU. VERY ENCOURAGING RESULTS. Reports received regarding the experiment at Mamaku on the treatment of a badly-inlesled area of ragwort by wholesale 'spraying with sodium chlorate over the entire area indicate very encouraging results. The results, however, need to be correlated with those of other experiments elsewhere and further experimental work done before anything more definite can be slated. All this work is being actively prosecuted.
