PATERANGI NEWS
On Monday evening the residents of the district welcomed Mr and Mrs Selwyn Germann by means of a surprise party. There were about 80 residents present, including wellwishers from Ngahinapouri, Kaipaki and Mangapiko. The evening was happiy spent dancing on the verandah and playing games. Many toasts were lionoured, and Mr Scott Macky proposed the toast of Mr and Mrs S. Germann. The party broke up early in the morning with the singing of “For They are Jolly Good Fellows.”
