VISITING FARMERS

UNFORTUNATE MISUNDERSTANDING CONVEYANCE TO MORRINSVILLE. During the recent visit of the British and South African farmers a misunderstanding arose in connection with the conveyance of the visitors on an inspection of the Morrinsville dairy factories. It had been arranged that the Morrinsville farmers provide 12 cars and that the rest he found by the Waikato Sub-provincial branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union. When the Waikato cars arrived at the respective hotels, however, to collect their allocated passengers it was found that all had secured accommodation in the cars that had come from Cambridge. At the meeting of the Waikato Subprovincial branch of the Nem Zealand Farmers’ Union yesterday keen disappointment was expressed at the opportunity thus deprived members of meeting the visitors.
