VALEDICTORY.
A POPULAR EMPLOYEE. FAREWELLED BY STAFF. After five years’ service on the staff of Findlay’s Bakery, Mr L. Harris left yesterday to go into business on his own account. Prior to his departure a pleasant little function was held to mark I lie esteem in which he is held by his fellow workers. In asking Mr Harris to accept a handsome wristlet watch as a memento of his association with the bakery, Mr F. Findlay paid tribute to his sterling qualities as a worker and a friend.
Mr Spark, bakery foreman, and Mr J. Ryan, on behalf of the bread carters, also spoke of their happy association with Mr Harris, and extended to him the best wishes of the staff. Mr Harris suitably replied, and was accorded musical honours.
