For the second day of the Dambridge Annual Festival the morning, afternoon and evening sessions were very well attended. Shakespearean Recital, boys and girls under 1G: Joan Hardy, Cambridge, 84, 1; Ruth Speight, Cambridge, 83 2. Solo, men, any voice: Erie Ewart, Hamilton, 81, 1; Gerard Peters Cambridge 79 2. 1 Shakespearean Recital, ladies: Miss Phyllis Torpy, Hamilton, 1; Miss W. J. Ward, and Miss Valeric Lewis tie with 82, 2. Mezzo-Soprano Solo: Miss Adele Bell, Pirongia, BG, 1; Miss Mary Attwood, Cambridge 79, 2; Miss Nellie Walters, Te Aroha, and Mjss Jean Ferguson, Cambridge, each highly commended with 75. Piano Solo, open: Miss Joyce Hewitt, Auckland 89, i ; Miss Phyllis Cato, Auckland, 84, 2. Recital, with musical accompaniment, ladies: Miss Norma Langton, Cambridge, 85, 1; Miss Thora Hardy, Cambridge, 84, 2.
