PUKEMIRO.
The Weather. Glorious spring weather prevailed all last week. Rain is badly needed by the farmers, as the ground has not had a thorough soaking for some weeks. The soil in this district dries up very quickly on account of its porous nature and also on account of the extremely hilly country.
Personal. Mr and Mrs J. Hadley spent the week-end in Auckland. Mr Allen is spending a few days in Auckland. Mrs Gross is in Pukemiro for a short stay. Mr J. Brown spent the week-end in Auckland. The Churoh. Morning and evening services were well attended on Sunday, the Rev. Kearney officiating at both services.
