Ping-Pong. A ping-pong tournament was held this week. After some close games, -Miss F. Strawbridge proved the winner of the ladies’ prize; the men’s prize went to Mr K. Trow. Supper was provided by the ladies. Next ’Tuesday will be the final evening’s play for this season. Golf Dance. A golf dance wi-11 be held in the Maungatautari Hall on Tuesday, September ■ -

Personal. Miss T. Hay, of St. Cuthhert’s College, Auckland, is spending the vacation with ’Mr and Mrs E. Peake, ol Maungatautari. Mr and Airs Emery, of Maungatautari, are spending the school vacation in Auckland. Mrs Bedell, of Auckland, is staying with her daughter, Airs W. Hicks, of Maungatautari. Aliss AI. Cooper Is spending a holiday in .Auckland. Mr and Airs L. J. Nobbs, of Opanaki (formerly of .Maungatautari), spent a few days in this district, on their trip to Auckland, and were the guests of Mr and Airs R. Kirkby. Airs T. F. Meeking, of Alaungatautari 7 is staying in Hamilton. Air and Airs C. Head are spending a few days willi Air and Mrs Head, of Alaungalautari. Mr E. Goodwin, of Auckland, is the guest of Air and Mrs F. Pay. Aliss Osborne is the guest of Airs J. Osborne, of Jiora llora.
