MATAMATA.

Primary School. Rev. A. C. Hampton presided at the monthly meeting of the School Committee. Air. F. Banks reported that the chairmen and secretaries of the primary school and the Penial Clinic committees had been appointed to arrange for the official opening of the new wing of the primary school and llie dental clinic. The secretary reported that he had received notification of an increase of 5 per cent in the capitation grant. The annual inspector’s report was received and favourably commented on bv the members. ‘ The material required Tor the dressing of Hie assembly ground lias been ordered and it is hoped to -compete this work during the vacation.

The local scouts and their friends -staged a very enjoyable concert in the Aiatainata Town Rail on Friday evening-. A pleasant lime was enjoyed with vocal and Instrumental items, and a gymnasium display by some of the scouts.
