Card Evening. The last of the series of card evenings organised by the Cricket Club Committee, was held in the home of Mrs A. Catch pole, when a most enjoyable time was spent. Six tables were occupied for a 500 drive, and pingpong was also on Ihe evening’s programme. Prizes for 500 were won by Mrs A. Catchpole and Mrs A. Goodwin, Messrs 11. McCarthy and L. Catchpole. After a dainty supper Mr A. Goodwin, on behalf of those present, thanked Mr and Mrs Catchpole for placing their home at the disposal of the club. The committee thanks Mrs E. McEldowney and Mr W. Tarr, senr., who kindly donated prizes. Ping-Pong. The wind-up evening for the season of the Ping-pong Club 'will be held on Tuesday evening.
