Mr. W. Grounds, of the Dairy Control Board, is on a visit to Hamilton.
Mr J. C. McCrae, late Chief Postmaster at Wellington and previously of the staff of the local office, is spending a few days in Hamilton.
Mr Theodore Fink, chairman of directors of the Herald and Weekly Times, Melbourne, has been elected chairman of the Australian section of the Empire Press Union.—Sydney cable.
Messrs. V. J. Stanlcy i of "Wellington and J. Macdonald, ’of Auckland, of the Commercial branch of the Railway Department arc in Hamilton and will remain in the Waikato district for some weeks.

The induction of the Rev. William Fancourt, M.A., formerly of All Saints,’ Palmerston North, as vicar of SI. Mary’s Cathedral, Parnell,, in succession to Canon Percival James, was performed in the cathedral last evening by Archbishop Averill in the presence of a large congregation.
