OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. A DRAMATIC FINISH. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) NEW YORK, Juno 29. In the national open golf championship at the Winged Foot County Club’s course, New York State, A 1 Espinosa and Bobby Jones, with scores of 294, tied for first place. The play-off will take place to-morrow. Shutte and Sarazen tied for third place with 296. Hagen and Kirkwood tied for 20th place with 309. Jones, at the'66th hole, was six points ahead .of Espinosa, and it seemed certain that he would win the title, but ho threw away the lead with 7 at the lath hole and a 5 at tho 16th hole of the final round.
There was a dramatic finish. At the last green ho had to sink a 12-foot putt to tie .with, Espinosa.
