FLYING TRAGEDIES.
LANDED IN A LAKE. FIVE PERSONS DROWNED. (Australian Press Association.) BERLIN, June 29. Five lives were lost in a flying accident at Lake Constance. A seaplane carrying five passengers and two pilots was alighting on the lake when an explosion was heard. The machine was seen to capsize and sink within a few minutes. Eye-witnesses say the .seaplane struck the water at a high speed, rebounded, sagged and collapsed. Rescuers in motor-boats saved two men whose wives were among the passengers. The remainder of the occupants of the machine were drowned. LATE LIEUT. ANDERSON. BODY TO LIE IN STATE. (Australian Frer.s Association.) SYDNEY, June 30. The body of the late Lieutenant Keith Anderson reached Sydney today by train. A large number of his former comrades was present. The coffin will be taken to the Mosman Presbyterian Church. Next week the body will lie in state until Saturday, when it will be burled in a special allotment which has been provided by the local council, overlooking Sydney Heads.
