PERSONAL.
The Bishop of Christchurch has appointed the Rev. F. B. Redgrave, M.A., to the parish of Fendalton, made vacant by the resignation of the Rev. H. S. Leach.
Mr Norman Day, assistant-master at the Tauranga District High School, has been appointed to a similar position at the Richmond School, Auckland. Mr Day was formerly at Hamilton East. .
Mr Edgar H. Payze, manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Huntly, has received notice of his transfer on promotion to Waihi. Mr E. V. Daldy, of Huntervllle, will succeed Mr Payze at Huntly.
Mr G. N. Norris, the newly-appoint-ed stipendiary on the northern circuit, was welcomed by the Bar and Justices at the Kaitaia Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Dr. A. Bonar Lindsay, who has been honorary gynaecologist on the staff of the Christchurch Public Hospital for a number of years, has resigned his position, as he is returning to England.
Mr R. Thomson, assistant in agronomy to the Department of Agriculture, who arrived from Australia about two months ago, will shortly take up his headquarters at the Ashburton Experimental Farm.
The Public Service Commissioner announces the appointment of Mr J. 11. Boves as Commissioner of Pensions, "a position made vacant by the retirement of Mr Fache. Mr Boyes has been Assistant-Commissioner since 1919.
