YOUTH FOUND DEAD.

GUNSHOT WOUND IN HEAD. INQUEST AT WAKAROA. (Special to Times.) MATAMATA, Friday. When Mr. Sydney Harding, of Waharoa, returned home on Thursday afternoon he found a lad named John Scott, who was employed by him, lying dead with a gunshot wound In the head and shot gun beside him. Dr. Laurenson and the police were called and an inquest, presided over by Mr. BarrBrown, district Coroner, was held today. Dr. Laurenson, Mr. S. Harding and Constable Connor gave evidence and a verdict was returned, that deceased died ’ from the effects of a gunshot wound, but there was not sufficient evidence to show whether the occurrence was accidental or otherwise. The deceased was a lad who came to New Zealand about two years ago under the Salvation Army scheme and had been in the district ever since. He was a bright and intelligent boy and appeared to have no cause to worry.
