PERSONALS. Mrs Raymond Jones and her daughter, Miss Mabel Jones, are visiting Auckland. • * « Mrs I. McDonald, of Gisborne, is the guest of Mrs Teasdale, Teasdale Street, Te Awamutu. ST. JOHN’S GIRLS’ CLUB. The fortnightly meeting of the St. John’s Girls’ Club was held on Monday evening in the Club room. An interesting lecture on “Diet” was given by Dr. K. Hiskens, and at the close he was heartily thanked. The hostesses for the evening were Misses E. Ball and M. Mensforth. Amongst the members present were Mrs Trill (president), Mrs Morris, Misses Dunkley, Holt, North, How-. croft (2), Irwin, Jeffery, Bray, Brown, Mist, Green, Bowden, Garvey, Meurant, Gifford, Davis, Finch, Hull, M. Spinlcy, L. Spinley. BRIDGE EVENING. Mrs Bevin entertained a few friends to bridge on Monday evening last. Mrs Bevin received her guests wearing a pretty frock of black silk embroidered in gold. The prize-winners were Mrs F. Bowden (top score), Mrs Potts (hidden number), and Mrs Lord (consolation prize). Amongst those present were: Mesdames L. Peake, E. Potts, F. Bow'den, R. Lord, W. Jeffery, C. G. Downes, C. Blundell, A. A. Reese, J. Hawkins, F. Brooks, L. Dunn, J. Oliphant.
