A SMALLER PROFIT. BUT POSITION SATISFACTORY. (By Telegraph—-Special lo Times.) AUCKLAND, Wedncsday. “Although the actual profit, £16,376, is less than last year's, I think I am justified in saying again that the report and balance-sheet provide very pleasant reading for shareholders,’’ declared the lion. E. W. Alison to-day in moving the adoption of the annual statements of the Taupiri Coal Mines. The relations with employees continued to be harmonious and during the year there had been no serious accident. The balance of £17,751 at credit' is recommended to be dealt with by the payment of a further dividend of 1/per share (making 2/- for the year), £6050; transfer to the dividend equalisation fund, £1000; and carried forward, £10,701.
