NEW VICAR AT RAGLAN. TRIBUTE FROM BISHOP. TAUMARUNUI, Tuesday. The Bishop of Waikato, Dr. Cherrington, at the farewell social to the Rev. W. T. F. Skey.late vicar of Taumarunui Parish, who has been transferred to Raglan, referred to the splendid work Mr Skcy had done in and around Taumarunui during the past year and emphasised that lie had been able to minister more regularly to the people of the country districts than any of the past clergy. The work lie hail ‘performed was worthy of notice and admiration, and lie was the best priest in the diocese. The bishop stated that Mr Skey was not being moved because of anything he had'done, but he (the bishop) was moving him to another part of llie diocese where only a priest without home ties could go, to a parish where one with Mr Skcy’s ability and good standing would be welcomed and where his services would certainly on appreciated.
