THE PRIME MINISTER
WELCOMED AT INVERCARGILL. ENTHUSIASTIC CROWDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.! IxNVERCARGILL, Tuesday. A very enthusiastic reception was accorded the Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, upon hi 3 arrival in Invercargill to-night. There were considerably over one thousand people at the station to greet him. The Mayor, Mr J. D. Campbell, and Mr W. Stevenson, chairman of the Invercargill May Fay- Committee, officially welcomed Sir Joseph, who briefly addressed the crowd. He was enthusiastically cheered and played to his hotel by a pipe band.
