HAMILTON GUN CLUB.
SUCCESSFUL SHOOT. The Hamilton Gun Club held a series of sweeps at Ruakura on Saturday. The trophy presented by Mr E. O'Kanc provided an exciting contest. Three shooters tied for the trophy. Results:— No. 1 Sweep, 0 birds.—P. Jelavich and C. Seddon tied with possibleNo. 2 Sweep, 0 birds.—C. Seddon and J. McMikcn lied with possible. No. :i Sweep, 10 birds; for Mr E. O'Kane's trophy.—C. Seddon, A. Woolven and W. Woolven tied with 9 birds each. The shoot-off was won by C. Seddon, A. Woolven 2nd., and W. Woolven 3rd. No. 4 Sweep, gimcrack, 6 birds. —11. Earlc, C. Seddon and P. Jelavich tied with 5 birds each and divided the sweepstake. No. 5 Sweep, 0 birds. —J- McMikcn won with tin' possible. C. Seddon and W. Woolven tied for 2nd place. No. 0 Sweep, walk-up shoot, 5 birds.—Won by W. Woolven, with J. McMikcn 2nd.
