THE WAIPA CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. At the annua] meeting of the Waipa Racing Club the president (Mr t. Quin) presided oyer a fair attendance of members. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. Officers for the following year were elected as follows: —Patrons, Messrs D. S. Reid, M.P., and F. F. Hockly, MJ?.; president, Mr F. Quin (reelected); vice-presidents, Messrs W. G. Park, A. S. Wallace, and- J. H. Elbott (re-elected) ; auditor, Mr G. O. Jourdain (re-elected) ; judge, Mr It. B. Lusk (re-elected) ; clerk of course. Mr J. It. Pollard (re-elected) ; clerk of scales, Left to committee; timekeeper, Mr F. Seccombc (rc-cicctcd) ; bon. surgeons, Drs. Blundell, Hall and Hiskens; hon. veterinary surgeon, Mr S. Burton; treasurer, Mr J. P. O'Sullivan (re-elecLed) ; country breeders' representative, Mr 11. Weal; country clubs’ delegates, President and Secretary; committee, Messrs W. Alexander, J. P. O’Sullivan, S. A. Empson, C. F. Storey, A. Bond; course committee, Messrs A. H. Storey, J. P. O’Sullivan, W. Alexander, 11. Weal. In proposing Mr F. Quin’s re-elec-tion as president Mr A. S. Wallace paid a high tribute to the work done for the club by Mr Quin. He had been one of the founders of the club, and had done good work ever since. The motion was carried by acclamation. The plan that the club is working to was shown for the enlightenment of - members. It will take some years for completion, but when completed will be ?>ne of the finest racecourses in the Dominion.
