Tennis Dance. •' -The Ngahinapouri Tennis Club is holding its annual ball in the Ngahinapouri Hall on Thursday, June 7. It is hoped members of tennis clubs from the,'surrounding, districts will attend and a good dance is anticipated. The music wilt be supplied by the "Kit Kat" Orchestra from Rukuhia. The local hockey ladies have decided to enter two teams for the six-aside hockey tournament in Hamilton on June 4. Boys' Hockey. The Old Boys' "colts" hockey team played a match against Ngahinapouri at Ngahinapouri on Saturday, May 18. The weather was ideal for hockey and the game was an interesting one. The result was a win for Ngahinapouri by three goals to nil. Afternoon tea was provided for the visitors before their departure for Hamilton. Library Meeting. The annual meeting of the Ngahinapouri Committee was held in the hall on Monday night, May 14. The attendance was not very good owing to inclement weather. Mr H. Thomas occupied the chair. The minutes were passed as correct and the balancesheet adopted. The credit balance was £1 2s. The following committee was elected: R. Mayer, ft. Thomas, N. Reid, W. Haley and J. McGregor; secretary and librarian, G. Reid. The secretary was instructed to buy the necessary books for the year. During last year 100 new books were added to the library. Personal.
