CLAIMED BY MR GLENN, M.P. STILL SUPPORTS GOVERNMENT. WANGANUI, Monday. In the course of an interview today Mr W. S. Glenn, member for Rangitikei, stated that his attention had been drawn to a telegrm from Auckland to the effect that he was allied to Ihe suggested farmers’ political movement likely to take a prominent part in the next general election. “I may say," said Mr Glenn, "that the report as far as I am concerned is incorrect. “I should like to emphasise that, consistent with a member’s election pledges, neither Mr Massey nor Mr Coates has ever denied the right of criticism or. the part of a member of their party. 1 have not deviated from my election pledges, and i take this opportunity of stating that it is my intention of contesting the Rangitikei scat at tiie coming election as a supporter of the Government, while still retaining that degree of independence to which I claim supporters of the Government or any other party are entitled.”
