LOSES LEASE OF LAND. THREATENS NEW OCCUPIER. NAPIER, Monday. An implement not unlike an elongated slasher with a blade approximately three feet in length, was produced as an exhibit in the Napier Police Court this morning in the case in which Yip Wah, an elderly Chinese, was charged that he was a rogue and vagabond in that he was found at night without lawful excuse on the premises of Artie Whili Whiti, at Taradalc. Whiti Whiti was compelled to order him off the property, and then rented it to another Chinese who employed a Maori named Chase to work for him. Accused was continually making threats against Chase. On the night, of the alleged offence Chase easily over-powered Yip Wah. Accused was a mn of an ungovernable temper and had been before the Court twice previously on minor charges.
