Football. An Otorohanga team visited Plrongia on Saturday to try conclusions with our senior fifteen, the result being a win in favour of the visitors by 0 points to 3. . Water Supply. The efforts of a number of farmers in this district to provide against a repetition of the difficulties of water supply experienced this season appear to be. within sigfit of realisation An application was made to the Waipa County Council lecentiy to undertake the provision of a suitable water supply for tho group if farmers mentioned and it is now reported that the county solicitors have given a legal opinion favourable to the request of the applicants.

Road Repairs. Residents of the western side of the Pirongia township will be interested to know that at least a portion of' the road along the river from the new bridge will be patched with metal where required and sanded before winter sets in.
