CROQUET.
PUKETAHA CLUB. The Puketaha Croquet Club held its annual meeting at Mrs Thomsen's residence, the president, Mrs F. R. Seddon, presiding. There was a good attendance of members. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted, the latter showing small margin over working expenses. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:;—President, Mrs P. R. Seddon (re-clcled); vice-presi-dents, Mcsdames E. Thomas and W. N. Speedy; secretary and treasurer, Mrs P. Cleary; committee, Mesdames P. Thomson, D. Salnsbury, and R. Young.
It was decided to enter a team for the South Auckland Buttons. The annual subscription is to' remain as formerly, but a retaining fee to be. paid if a member wishes to pull out for' a season and then rejoin the club. Several trophies were offered for competition, and an effort to increase the membership is to be made. The opening day was fixed for October 26, on Mrs Cleary's lawn.
