RUGBY FOOTBALL.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Hamilton Rugby Union took place last evening, Mr A. S. Cliffe being in the chair. There were also present Messrs G. Parlane (vicepresident), Speight, Booth, Veats, Clark, Udy, Hawke, Whiting, and Thompson (secretary). Mr A. W. Green was also in attendance, at the request of the committee. The Waikato Rugby Union wrote, notifying that a special meeting of delegates would be held on Friday,October 14, at 8 p.m.., to consider the adoption of the new constitution of the union.

Two claims for medical expenses under the union's insurance fund were referred to the union's Insurance Committee.

In view of the lack of a suitable fixture for the proposed Charity match, it was resolved to make direct donations from the union's funds of a further £5 to St. John Ambulance Brigade and £ls to the Unemployment Fund. Matters in connection with the union ball in the Town Hall on Friday next were finalised.

A general discussion took place on the question of ground improvements and further accommodation for the public on No. 1 Rugby Park, and the question is to be further discussed at a special meeting of the Management Committee on Tuesday next. Fixtures for Saturday, .Bth instant, — Morris Gup final, No. 1 Rugby Park, at 3 p.m.; admission free.
