The club would not be charged for the use of the park or the mower, but would be asked to pay the man's wages for the time taken. The same conditions would apply to Seddon Park.

The Regimental Band was granted leave to play at the Lake on Labour Day and to take up a collection. The Hamilton Golf Club wrote thanking the board for the use of its mower during the recent golf tournament.

Advice was received from the town clerk that, as a result of the phenomenal increase in the demand for electric- power, the Council found it necessary to reorganise immediately its primary distribution feeders. It was desirable to provide a substation at the corner of Bryce and Hinemoa Streets. .They- wished to exchange the substation silc on Seddon Terrace for a similar area at the corner of Bryce and Hinemoa Streets. —A committee with power to act was accordingly set up to go into the matter. ..A deputation from the Caledonian Society asked for the use of the Lake early in the new year to hold a sports gathering there. —The application was granted on the motion of Mr Pow.
