Enjoyable Dance. A good attendance responded io flie invitation lo a dance in the Public Hall by Mr and Mrs Mitchell on Wednesday evening last. The function was io mark [he occasion of their daughter’s wedding. The floor was in good order and an unusually large throng fooled it merrily until a iale hour. Before dispersing, musical honours and cheers were given, the host and hostess by the enthusiastic dancers. The music was chiefly supplied by Mrs A. Livingstone, and Mr Win. Rollo Gillespie. Football. A football match, between Ihc regular junior grade team, and a learn of veterans was played in Mr L. Handley's held on Saturday afternoon. Corbov, put up a vigorous game against their youthful opponents; the muster, however, showed a l'alal dearth of hack players, which weakness lost them the match, ihc scores ending G to nil. The weekly euchre and dance was field on Saturday evening when there was a good attendance. The play resulted in a win for the ladies by Miss K. O’Connor, whilst Mr J. P. Hurtstone won the men’s prize. The booby prizes were won by Miss Marwood and Mr L. j. Corboy. Dancing continued throughout the remainder of the evening.
