SOUTH AUCKLAND MATTERS. REP. MATCH ARRANGEMENTS. The South Auckland Football Association held its usual weekly meeting in Hamilton, Mr F. S. Carr presiding over a full attendance of the executive members. , , , The North Auckland F.A. advised that it would lie sending its strongest eleven for Hie Brown Shield game on Saturday. The team would arrive in Hamilton the day before the match. Arrangements for the game were reported by the secretary to ho complete. Mr 11. Woods had arranged to run a smoke social after the game for the teams and any friends who cared lo attend. , ~ Mr Jas Baillie was appointed the South Auckland linesman for the match.

Applications to play curtain-raisers ■were received, and alter consideration, were declined, the only match to take place on the day being the junior competition game between Glaudelands Rovers and Glen .Massey at Seddon Park, the match to finish .15 minutes before the commencement of the Brown Shield game.

Mr Edsall is to be the referee of the latter game. The Railways F.C. protested against the transfers of Leo and Iluntcr being held up until September 8, and desired to know on what authority and for what reason the committee baaed its previpus decision. After a long discussion it was decided to send the club an extract from the rules of the Association, whereby in the sanctioning of transfers, and nolo power is given to the committee in the sanctioning of transfers, and that every facility would be given to it if It decided to forward an appeal to the N.Z.F.A.

Permission was granted to the Thames F.C. to play Tamaki F.C., Tho committee decided to rekplay the Hamilton championship final between Wanderers and Railways on September 18, at Seddon Park, Hunter and Lee to lie eligible to play for Railways in that game. Subject to the permission of the Auckland F.A. Claudelands Rovers were given authority to play Auckland Y.M.C.A. at Hamilton on September 18. An application from the Goldfields sub-Association for a senior team to visit one of its district ciubs on the 25th Inst., could not he entertained owing to a full local programme.

The N.Z. Referees’ Association advised that N.Z. badges could only be granted to tiiose passing, the necessary examinations, and the Lower Waikato sub-Association, which made application for a badge to be granted to a referee, is to be advised accordingly, and Hie secretary is empowered to take the necessary steps to arrange an early examination for the New Zealand badge.
