N.Z. TROTTING ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. A meeting of the board of the New Zealand Trotting Associtaion to-day elected the following officers; President, Mr J. H. Williams; vicepresident, Mr 11. W. Kitchingham; hon. treasurer, Mr W. J. M. Hopkins; Licensing Committee, Messrs W. 11. Denton and Hopkins; Colours Commitlee, the president, vice-president and Mr W. Hayward; Foreign Horse Committee, Messrs C. F. Mark, Denton, .1. M. Samson, It. A. Armstrong and Hayward; associated members on the, Stipendiary Stewards’ Committee, the president and vice-president. Mr J. F. W. Dickson, solicitor, Auckland, wrote in reference to the action of the association in withholding the driving license of Robert Milien. K was decided that Milien he asked to appear at the next meeting to show why the action of the Licensing Committee in refusing him a driver’s license for the season should not be upheld. The Otahuhu Club wrote that the line of £2 imposed on Mr W. R. Perry, for being late in the birdcage, would not lie inflicted. < Licenses as recommended by the Licensing Committee were granted as follows: —A. E. Didharn, F. E. Hall. W. •D Cameron, W. Roberts and F. E. Smith, for riders’ licenses only; Win. Ryder, to train and ride bis own horse only. The applications of .1. r P. Humpliris and 0. Reed were hold over.
