The Prime Minister, Mr Coates, arrived in Auckland on Saturday morning from Matakohe. Me left for Wellington on Sunday evening.
His Honor Mr Justice I-Icrdman, who will preside over the quarterly sittings of the Hamilton Supreme Court, which will open to-morrow, arrived in Hamilton last night. The Minister of Health (Hon. J. A. Young) will leave Wellington for Hamilton to-day and will return to the capital on Wednesday. Mr S. 11. Park, secretary to the Otago Education Board, retires shortly after 50 years’ service. The Minister of Education, the Hon R. A. Wright, arrived at Frankton last night, and to-day will visit the junior high school at Matamala as a sequel to inspections of schools in the same category at Northcotc and ICowliai. From Matamala the Minister will return to Wellington direct. The Prime Minister, lit. Hon. J. G. Coates, motored to Auckland from Matakohe early on Saturday morning, accoinpaned by Mrs Coates, and left for Wellington by the limited express iast evening.
The Minister in charge of the Cook Islands, the Hon. Sir Maui Pomare, returned to Wellington on Saturday from an official visit to Rarotonga, Samoa, Niue, and Makogai Island (the leper station in the Fiji group). Mr J. D. Gray, Secretary of the Department of External Affairs, who accompanied the Minister, also returned on Saturday.
