PORTUGAL’S NEW REGIME
A MILITARY CABINET. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) LISBON, May 31. The success of the military revolt is apparent from the fact that the President of the Republic charged the leader of the revolutionary forces, Commander Mendes Cabecadas, with the task of forming a Cabinet. Cabecadas accepted, and lias provisionally taken over control of all portfolios. Cabecadas, interviewed,' declared that the Government would consist of civil and military personages quite outside the political parties and in perfect agreement with the delegates of the military divisions.
