ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
TIMARU, (Monday. Mrs Manton, aged 43, wife of a farm labourer, at Levels, was found hanging in a plantation about half a mile from her home. At tlie inquest a verdict of death by hanging was returned. Tlie coroner stated lhat there was no evidence to show the reason for the act, the woman’s home life bring quite happy. KATTATA, Tuesday. Constable O’Gonnan is seriously ill as the result of an accident on Saturday evening, when lie fell from his motor-cycle, tlie result, it is surmised, of a fainting lit.
