CHORAL SOCIETY.
ANNUAL MEETING. AT CAMBRIDGE. The annual meeting of the Cambridge Choral Sociely was held on Monday evening. The president (Mr E. B. Cox) occupied the chair, and there was only a moderate attendance of members and others interested. Annual Report. The chairman's report showed that the Society is carrying on without a secretary and treasurer, Mr ,T. Shearcs having left the district. The conductor (Mr A. G. Boyce) had resigned, and the Society had sustained a severe loss through the death of Mr Consulton. The balance sheet, which wa.s adopted, subject to being audited, showed a credit balance of £2 103 4d. Future Arrangements. The chairman said he understood that Mr Boyce could not sec his way to lake the conduclorship this year owing to pressure of business, but perhaps after a lapse of a year he would again be available. Mr Penn suggested that a committee be formed lo make inquiries regarding the prospects, and, if sufilcicnt inducement offered, lo call another meeting. The suggestion was adopted and the following committee was appointed: Mrs Mahoney, Miss Hooker, Messrs Cox, Rowland, and Lindslcy,
