THE NORTHLAND CLUB.
MEETING AT WHANGAREI
The programme issued by the Northland Trotting Club for its annual meeting at Whangarei on Saturday, March 13, is published in this issue, and is well worthy of perusal by owners and trainers. It is headed by the Northland Trotting Cup of £2lO and a silver cup, a 4-47 class eveet, which will be.., decided over 2 miles. The President's Handicap of £125. class 5.5, which will also be decided over 2 miles is for unhoppled trotters. Tlie Whangarei Handicap is a 4.36 saddle event. (til miles), while the Dargaville Handicap, li miles, is for horses that have never won a race at a totalisator meeting. Tlie Kawakawa Handicap (i-A miles), class 3.-J2. Kaikohe Handicap (saddle) of 2.26 and Waipu Handicap of 2.5 also figure on the programme in addition to Hie Counties Handicap. This is a 4.5 class (\i miles) and confined !o horses North of Waile.mala County. Nominations for all events will close on Friday. February 26, al 5 p.m. with the secretary (Mi' 1-'. V.'.
