The following figures show the Post Office Savings Bank deposits and withdrawals in the various postal districts for the quarter ended December 3t (shillings and pence omitted):—
Totals -fth quarter, 1925 •'. 7,430,183 8,372,822 Totals 4tti quarter, 1924 .. 7,110,969 7,691,040 In only two districts was there an excess of deposits over withdrawals— Gisborne £B7B 3s 9d, and Palmerston North £54,966 2s Id. Palmerston North was created a chief office on July 1, 1925.
